The other day I was in the garage cleaning and vacuuming out my car, and I THOUGHT the kids were there with me. Well, I guess I was distracted and not paying too much attention. After a while I finally found them:

End of Summer

I stepped outside this morning to go running (yes, I'm still running!) and it was chilly! I had to go back in and grab a jacket. So I got thinking, this means summer is almost over! (Finally.) I decided to do an end-of-summer collage of our good times these past few months. Enjoy!

It's 7:15 am and I'm blogging

This morning I did something way out of character. I got up and went running at 6:00 with my ward's running group. Now, you have to understand that I am not a person who enjoys running . . . at all. I run at the gym every once in a while cause I know I should, but it's something I truly dread. So, I'm pretty proud of myself right about now! I didn't even get left in the dust like I thought I would. So now I'm home and my family is still asleep and I'm wondering what to do with myself. I usually hate when the kids wake me up around 7:30, now I'm trying to be just a little bit loud so they'll wake up and I can see them! Maybe I'm on one of those running highs right now. Hopefully this is a new trend starting; come tomorrow morning we'll see what happens. But for now, yay me!

1. After not having shaved for a couple of days, I have a habit of getting my tweezers and plucking individual hairs out of my legs.

My Trip to the Dentist

So, turns out I'm a little bit terrified of the dentist. I know that nobody likes going to the dentist, but I didn't realize just how bad I would be. Today I went in for my six month cleaning. In all actuality, I haven't had a cleaning in an embarrassingly long time (along the lines of 10-12 years; gross, I know) so I didn't really know what was going to happen. Good thing I didn't know beforehand or else I would never have gone. I couldn't have a regular cleaning cause they were so bad, so I got one side numbed and worked on and will go back in two days for the other side (yeah, we'll see). I was lying in that chair in a cold sweat, my hands clammy, on the verge of hyperventillating, thinking, really, isn't there an easier way? (Kinda like my thoughts on pregnancy/child birth.) And why does that tool they use have to make that awful screeching sound. Can't they do something to change that?! Anyway, I wish I could say I'm good for another six months, but I guess I CAN say I'm good for 40 more hours!

7:30 a.m. - 5.5 hours till naptime
9:00 a.m. - 4 hours till naptime
10:00 a.m. - 3 hours till naptime
11:45 a.m. - 2 hours 15 min till naptime
12:30 p.m. - 30 min till naptime
12:38 p.m. - 22 min till naptime
12:43 p.m. - 17 min till naptime!!!

Yep, it's been one of those days. On the bright side, Casey finally gets home from hunting today! I wonder how he'll take it when I tell him he can never, ever leave me alone with that many hours of time to fill for the kids again. We'll see.

Fashion Show

The other day Jada got into her closet and found the box of 6-12 month girl clothes. She was ecstatic. She would come out in a teeny, tiny outfit and say, "Mom, does this look cute?" Then she would prance around for a while before going back for a new outfit. Unfortunately, the first outfit, the best one, came off before I could take a picture. And she wouldn't put it back on because she said it was too tight (imagine that). Here are some pictures of Jada's fashion show.

Caleb found the shoe bag. He was so excited to find these flip flops cause they're the same ones Rae Rae has. He was running through the house screaming, "Rae Rae's shoes! Rae Rae's shoes!" He's had a hard time with her gone.
