I'm referring to the participants of today's 1st Annual St. George Ironman, who have got to be insane to compete in the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run and 17 hours to complete it in. Craziness. We went to the finish line in downtown St. George and it was incredible. The atmosphere and energy were like nothing else. There was so much excitement, sense of accomplishment, and a lot of people. The announcer said this was the largest first year Ironman crowd he has ever seen. We mostly saw the pros come in, since it was only (only) 9 hours into the race. We saw a lot of the other finishers on the online video coverage. These people are awesome.
