Lake to Lake Relay

On Saturday me and four of my sisters ran a 50 mile team relay starting at Gunlock Reservoir and ending at Sand Hollow. And I'm not gonna lie, it was a blast. We had so much fun, and all of us had pretty good personal running times, which always makes it funner (more fun? I like funner:). I was the first leg starting at Gunlock and ran six miles to hand off to my sis, Nicole, who ran 5 miles and handed off to Melissa, then Natalie, then Kaelee, and starting over again. We had a great day and made some pretty dang good memories.

All About Beckham Boy

Let me just preface this by saying yes, I do love all my children equally. Beckham is just at such a cute age where he's learning to do all these new things and it's so much fun to watch (also, he's not at all naughty yet, like my other two can sometimes be:)

Casey doesn't like this picture cause he thinks since I tucked Beckham's little willie between his legs it makes him look like a girl. I couldn't just leave it in plain sight for all the world to see!

This is one of Beckham's first experiences with "solid food". That tongue got in the way for the first few times, but now he's a pro!

How adorable is this kid? Seriously.

It's been a while since I've updated so I'm going to recap the past few weeks:

- I ran the St. George Half Marathon, the same race I did and loved last year. My sisters Kaelee and Melissa were running it and I was going to do the 5K since I've just started running again since I had Beckham but then two weeks before the race I decided, heck, why not just do the half? Race day was cold and overcast, not the perfect sunny day we had last year. The first two miles were brutal and I was thinking there's no way I'm going to make it 13.1 miles. A couple hundred people passed me (really) and I was getting really discouraged, then somehow my legs just picked it up and I got into a good pace. I focused on the old man just ahead of me and tried to keep his pace (by the way, I never caught him. He was like 70.) My goal was to finish in under two hours and I came in at 1:56:14. Yay! I was so happy with my time, I almost didn't care that my sisters ran in a whole 13 minutes before me. (They're kind of awesome.) My next run is a 5 mile dam to dam at Sand Hollow, then after that is the 50 mile relay with four of my sisters. I'm so excited for that one!

-I was introduced to women's church basketball. This is a crazy activity that begins with a prayer and a quote about sportmanship, then the whistle blows and things get a little heated. Attitudes come out, arms get scratched like crazy, and I'll tell you, women know how to use their hips. I figure it's the end of the day and this is where we get to let out some of our frustrations, so it's all good:)

Now onto the kiddos:

- Beckham has been growing like crazy. He's six months old (really???) and is so adorable I could just die. (I wish I had pictures to post. Next time...) He's sitting up on his own, eating baby food, and definitely teething:( He's still almost completely bald and has the biggest, goofiest smile you've ever seen. He is seriously an angel. Last week he was sick and I had to take him to the hospital twice a day for bronchialitis treatments. Not the best week. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT CLINIC.

- Jada celebrated her 5th birthday! She's so tall and mature, when her birthday came I thought, really, you're not already five? She gave me very specific instructions for her birthday: she wanted the house to already be decorated when she woke up; at her party she wanted to play the cupcake walk and "how low can you go"; and there were to be absolutely no balloons in the house (she's not a fan.) Love this girl.

- Caleb . . . oh Caleb. He's still my silly boy, always trying to tease us and make us laugh. He's now a big boy in Sunbeams and loves to take his scriptures so he can hold them up in the air and sing "Scripture Power".

I love my kids, I love my life:)

Molly's Nipple

So yesterday instead of going running, my sister Kaelee and I decided, hey, let's run up Molly's Nipple. I'm sad to say even though I've lived here for 28+ years I've never been to the top. And my sister Melissa "ran" up it last weekend so we decided, why not. I learned a few things from our one hour twelve minute climb to the top and back down: it was definitely not a run, more of a hike/scale the front of the mountain since we couldn't seem to find the trail most of the time; running shoes were a very wrong choice; I'm really not in as good as shape as I thought I was; the view is AMAZING! It was quite the experience, with many slips and falls, but the top was so worth it.

Snow and Family Christmas Party

This past week we had the first (and only?) snow of the season and the kids loved it. I love that it comes for a day or two then leaves.

Sunday was our Annual Christmas Party. I love having my family so close and being able to get together as often as we do. This year's party didn't disappoint. We had tons of food, fun games, Santa, and the nativity play. We've been doing the nativity since I was little and I love that we still do it, but now with our kids. The kids did a great job, and Baby Jesus was only a little fussy:)

The latest:Sweet little Beckham Boy. I love this kid so much. I love that he's more aware of what's going on around him and that he's starting to be a real person. He's definately the hardest baby I've had, but so much fun. Jada and Caleb love him to pieces.
Beckham had his four month dr. appt last week (4 months already???). He's weighing in at a healthy 14 lbs 4 oz, which is surprising since he spits up like crazy. Dr. Kaddu gave me some samples of heavy formula made with rice starch that has been helping a ton, but he doesn't love it, so we're working on it.

On our trip for the 3A state football game. We were just hanging out in the car in the freezing Salt Lake City weather. The game was a heartbreaker, and the same day up and back trip was pretty brutal, but we still had a good time.

Having a conversation with Grandma Jepson. He loves to talk and smile at everyone! I'm hoping his hair comes in soon, but it's not looking that way. What a cute little baldy.
