BIRTHDAY PARTY

My family threw me an incredible surprise birthday party last weekend. I was very unsuspecting and it was such a surprise. It was a 20's inspired party, due to the fact that I was leaving my 20's, and it was so creative and cute. We had pizza and games and the first woofle ball game of the season on the front lawn.

The next day we went to St. George to watch Ironman. The race, not the movie. Talk about inspiring. Those athletes amaze me so much. I wanna be like them, except I don't. I don't have any intention of ever doing an Ironman. Aside from the actual race, the training is way too intense and time consuming. After was dinner at Chili's with (some of) the sisters. Love them.

*Notice the birthday visor. I made it for Melissa to wear on our 10-miler on her birthday, so she made me wear it on my birthday. Sadly, since the hubby was out of town, there was no 10 miler. Instead I watched others do a 26-miler:)

It's been a while. My laptop was sooooooo slowwwww and I refused to do anything on it that wasn't absolutely necessary. Lucky for me, my birthday and Mother's Day were on the same weekend and I got an awesome new computer. I think it helped that Casey had to be out of town that weekend and he felt bad. Plus, there was a lot of nagging and complaining. Anywho, I'm a happy girl:) Keeping up with the blog should be much more frequent. Except that life is CRAZY busy right now, so no promises.

The kids learned to ride their bikes without training wheels a few weeks ago. I didn't know if they were ready because of Jada's arm and Caleb seemed too young and too small. Boy was I wrong. They took off like they've been waiting for this for months. We took them out on the windiest of all windy days. We're rude like that. But we went on this nice flat road behind a new church that mostly blocked the wind and they were pros. We were so proud.

FHE

For Family Home Evening last night we took the kids down to see some brand new goats, born just this morning. They loved, loved, loved it. They also got to see pigs, sheep, cows, and dogs. What more could a kid ask for?

Then Casey revisited his glory days as a (wannabe) cowboy and ran around roping all the kids. They loved it, I'm not sure why. He got Jada's legs and she fell flat on her face and still wanted him to do it again. Something's wrong with these kids.

Fort/Sport Night

Saturday night the kids and Casey had a movie night slash sleepover in the fort they built in the living room (or "sport" as Caleb calls it). They had popcorn and treats and watched Megamind, then when it was over they both rolled over and went to sleep. Me and Beckham weren't invited. Beckham went to bed and I went to the grocery store. Don't tell them that Casey slept in his own bed, then got up extra early to go out and pretend he'd slept in the fort with them all night. They would be very disappointed. The next day was Conference and they both slept through the entire second session. That took care of our problem of trying to keep them quiet and occupied for two hours. It was also nice that Beckham had a nap. Also nice that I had a nap. Aren't General Conference naps the best naps of the whole year? Don't worry, I'll make sure to read my Ensign next month.

Beckham:
You know I can't hardly post without including pictures of this little stud. I tell Jada and Caleb that they used to be this cute too, but I think maybe I'm lying. Or maybe I just forgot. He's just so stinkin' fun right now.

Enjoying Jada's soccer game (that post to come).

Being stubborn about getting his picture taken.

Anyone getting sick of Wii pictures?
It's just so cute to me that he thinks he's so big.
He's wearing his hat (on loan from Gavin) and is obsessed with that thing.

Caleb likes to get in his crib with him when he wakes up from his nap. He's really not annoyed, they have a great time in there. I think he's annoyed at me for taking so many pictures all the time.

This is how we watched the first half of the Butler/UConn game. Just chillin'.

Really, does this even need words?
